"It's an honor and a privilege to serve with this nationally recognized group," said Rush. "Automation Alley has been a vital force in enhancing the image of Southeastern Michigan as a technology leader and in bringing top talent to the area. I look forward to representing its distinguished membership, as well as to working with the staff to guide the organization into the future."

Jennifer Granholm for its leadership in drawing new technology and highly skilled jobs to Michigan.

Rush, who has served on Automation Alley's Board of Directors for four years, joined ArvinMeritor in 1977. He has served as director, Federal and State Government Relations, for Rockwell International's Automotive and Automation businesses and was based in Rockwell's Washington, D.C., office.

In his current position, Rush champions congressional, federal, state and local government relations for ArvinMeritor. Rush also manages all grassroots actions, directs industry association involvement, and leads community and philanthropic activities. Rush also serves on a number of industry, business, civic and educational committees, directs regional government affairs for the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) and chairs the Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) Governmental Affairs Council.
